I got a letter from Harvard, does it mean anything?
I am a junior in high school at the moment. I will be a senior next year. I got a letter and application from Harvard university. It is from the Office of Admissions and financial aid. But my Gpa is like 3.2. I think it is because of the great SAT scores of mine they got. Do you think I have a shot?
if they sent it to you without asking for it… go for it !!!!
apply and find out. We arnt Harvard. But with that GPA I doubt it. Unless you got a Prefect score on your SAT
if you have $$$
3.2, in Harvard? You’re gonna have to pull your grades up by A LOT.
I got the same letter. All it means is that your SAT scores are high. It does not necessarily mean that you have a chance of gaining admission. Plenty of people with very high SAT scores (2300+) are regularly rejected.
If you have A LOT of money, sure. I’d apply to several back up schools though. If you send a school decent SAT scores they’ll send you Financial Aid papers and Admissions forms, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to get in, unless you get a waaaay high GPA and the rest of your App. stands out and is flawless, and then it’s still gonna be a big bill.
Personally, unless they have a specialty that you plan to major in, don’t bother. Go to a local school with your major to save money, then if you wanna go, try to apply. While you’re a junior, Start applying for scholarships. You can never have too many.
