I am a high school student.I want to take courses in community college during summer break or regular school time(part-time).Does it good for Harvard application?or will Harvard refuse that kind of cases?

It seems the Harvard education might have taken a blow from our current president.

Actually, it is just my mom and she’s always obsessing over my application to Harvard. The truth is, I really do NOT want to go or even apply to Harvard. I think it’s a waste of money, but my mom has that mindset that going there will open soooo many doors. How do I convince her that i’m not going to go to Harvard and that she should get over it? I’m tired of her trying to push her dreams onto me. It’s stressful because now she is nagging me to finish the application, which i can’t put any effort into. I DON’T want to go to Harvard (not that i’ll get in anyway)
For the record, the problem isn’t that I have NO chance to get in, because technically I probably do. But that I really don’t like the vibe that Harvard gives. I don’t want to stereotype or assume anything, but everyone I’ve ever known who went/worked at Harvard seems to be very elitist and even a tad bit snobby. That’s really not who I want to become. Oh, plus in my opinion Princeton, Duke, Columbia, are schools I’d rather go to.

The ironic thing is, I wasn’t going to apply to Princeton because I did not think I would be accepted, it’s the #1 university in the nation (world, depending on who’s ranking system). I was more confident with Harvard because I had a personal interview with a rep. And had no doubts about Yale or Columbia. Needless to say I was shocked by the results: #1 wants me but #2 & 3 don’t. I used the common application to apply to Princeton, Harvard and Yale so they all have the same information, except for the supplemental essays which were very similiar. What do you think may have caused this to occur? I’ve been told that Harvard and Yale or more "traditional" or "conservative" in their admissions (I’m being politically correct- I’m Black and more of a Malcolm X supporter than King). Think that may have been a factor?
