I was wondering if there are any other programs similar to that of Harvard’s that look good on college applications. Perhaps one that is cheaper also because Harvard’s is pretty expensive. i want to go into medicine so if theres a summer program that has to do with medicine thatd be great!

I live in MD and I plan to attend UMCP after highschool. I’ve researched that harvard is the best school but heavy in tuition, which is my greatest concern. Even UMCP is considered heavy in tuition for me and it can make me a debt after graduation. Does it matter which school I go to in order to eroll into medical school ? Thanks

I know this sounds somewhat stupid, but if I am applying to Harvard, an amazing GPA and SAT scores are given, along with lots and lots of extracurriculars and volunteer work. But I would need something to set me apart. Should I mention the fact that my parents were divorced as a child and that my childhood was extremely difficult given that my mother is my sole family member in this country?

I’m really not looking to make a sob story, but I was wondering if it’s little things like this that can set me apart from the competition.

I am in eighth grade and I am soon preparing for high school. What should I be focused on and what extra curricular activities should I take?
