I really want to go to Harvard. I’ve been looking and it seems like everybody has the same grades, same SAT score, same extracurriculars. What can I do that will set me apart from the crowd? My parents aren’t alumni or anything.
If I take a summer camp at Stanford or another college, can I put that on my Harvard application?
I have a 4.0 GPA, speak French and Spanish and have all the extracurriculars there. I just want to be different and special so that the admissions officers will remember me!
Sorry this is so long! Thank you so much!
I am Buddhist and a duel citizen of England and America if it helps. I lived in England for 4 and a half years total - does that make a difference?
I’m going to be a junior in high school, and I know for certain that I want to be a lawyer. I know I’m going to Kent State University to get my masters degree of course, but I want to go to Law school also. Somewhere like Yale or Harvard. I’m already working a part time job and saving money in a savings account so I can pay part of the tuition, and I also plan on joining the Military after High School, but I’m just not sure if they will help Law school expenses.
I speak 4 languages fluently (French, English, Spanish, German) and am currently learning Arabic. I am more than capable of paying the tuition. I have received the Duke of Edinburgh gold award, have over 400 hours of community service and have won the community service award at my school every year. I know this sounds like quite enough, but I would like to go above and beyond to ensure that I am accepted to Harvard University. Any suggestions from those who have real knowledge on the subject at hand?
I am merely 14 years old, so I have plenty of time to achieve whatever will make my application more appealing. I’m not a scientist, or an actress, I am extremely interested in economics. Are there any suggestions of things that may make my application more appealing to whoever sees it?
P.S. Somebody suggested to donate a building, approximately how much would that cost? (Just for future reference!)
I come from a low income family. My mom is a single mother and she makes less than 20k a year.
I want to get into Stanford/Harvard but I don’t think I can get in unless I pay for the admission.
If I ask for a grant from the government, will they pay for my whole 4-year college tuition? Or do they only pay for State universities and not Ivy League schools?
